More about Me...

This self promotion business is a bit of a  self indulgence isnt it. Terrifying actually;  Like most performers, I am naturally a very shy person.

I was often labeled a 'snob' at school because I was so paintfully self concious, I wouldnt talk to anyone.

Anyway, getting older helps that greatly (my mum always told me that). And here I am on the other side of 50 finally caring less what others might think. (but I still have moments of retrospective terror).

Anyway. I was recently interviewed by a couple of people - Robin Hill of Breathing Colours Gallery, and Kristine Ballard, a talented an respected professional.

Introducing: The Second Half of the Year!

I think the slow part of the year is over dont you? The calendar is filling up again with workshops, exhibitions, social engagements etc etc. I think I will miss the "hibernation" of the last 3 months actually.

The Exhibition at Purple Noon Gallery went very well. I sold many works. How good is that? I am humbled and blessed.
The gallery now has a lovely new exhibition which you can view HERE

Museum Quality Prints

I am so excited to be able to announce that I now have a series of prints available. I have thought long and hard about reproducing my paintings - after many requests, I have decided to offer a small selection.

Printed on 310gsm Canson Rag Paper, Printed with museum quality 12 pigment ink, and embossed with my signature as a mark of authenticity; these prints are a quality product that I will be happy to have myself, especially since most of the paintings have been sold.

Birds of Joy Series

"Larrikins"

"Close To You"

"By Your Side"

"Galahs"

"Happy Talk"

"A New Place To Sing"

Many good things to come in this Year of Wonders. Stay tuned!

The Show Must Go On

Despite the whole world in various stages of lockdown and isolation, we still must "carry on" with our lives as best we can.

I have been very lucky in the fact I can still paint in my studio, and my exhibition scheduled with Purple Noon Gallery, will still go ahead, although not in the traditional way.

Opening this Saturday 2 May - the paintings are on the wall - and the opening will be viewed on line via Purple Noon Gallery. If you are in Sydney, you can even make an appointment to visit the gallery.

If you would like a catalogue, please contact me or the gallery.

Keep sanitised and keep safe.

More Daylight, More Work

One thing I like about the warmer months is that it is lighter later. Mind you, I work best first thing in the morning, so it is just as well it is lighter earlier as well. And much easier to get out of bed!
